How the Colombian company has grown with IRD support
Since 1954 Industrias Frigidaire Ltda. have been pioneers of the air conditioning industry. The company is responsible for some of the largest air conditioning installations in convention centers, hospitals, theaters, and shopping malls throughout Colombia.
In 1989, a change in government regulations led the company to manufacture air conditioning equipment, which ultimately led them to find a lack of quality fans in the market of Colombia. So, Industrias Frigidaire Ltda. began making fans. Not long after, they discovered the need for balancing and finding the right machines to do so became evident, specifically for their more demanding applications where reliability at high speeds were imperative.
The Hunt for Reliability at Higher Speeds
While in Venezuela in 1996, Eduardo Jesurun, Owner and Director of Industrias Frigidaire Ltda., found IRD machines in several plants and began asking the users their experiences with the equipment.

Since then, the company has grown to four more balancing machines and is now ISO certified in dynamic balancing services, the only company with the certification in Colombia.

Even just a few months
ago we were able to balance a 19 Ton electric generator property of Ecopetrol,
Colombia and working in CUSIANA, the largest gas extraction field in the
country. The Colombian petroleum company made arrangements for a five-day job.
We were able to finish the job in one hour and half! This allowed the company
to generate millions in dollars before they had planned it. The customer could
not believe it because others had previously failed with the job. In 22 years of balancing service we
have NOT had one single failure.”
