Balancing weights are used for adding temporary trial weights to rotors to correct unbalance. Each weight has a set screw to secure it during dynamic balancing procedures. Weights should be attached to the leading edge of the rotor/fan so that centrifugal force will help hold them in place. These should not be used for permanent balance weights.
